Rebecca Kieft, from Swansea, was the first to spot the spectacle. She had stepped to the window to snap a photo of the view for her friends when she noticed a 'big puff of water.' At first, she thought she might be imagining it, but moments later, the dolphins began leaping, and then—splash—the whale broke the surface. 'I couldn’t believe my eyes,' Rebecca recalled. 'I was a bit shocked. I ran to my papa and said, “I think I’ve just seen a whale!”' The rest of the family rushed out, and though the whale was already heading up the coast, they all caught a glimpse of the water spray.
