PPDS Unveils the Innovative 4K UHD Philips Signage 2000 Series
In a bold move that could reshape digital signage, PPDS, the exclusive global distributor of Philips Professional Displays and related solutions, has unveiled its latest offering: the Philips Signage 2000 Series. This new series aims to return to the fundamental principles of UHD digital signage, making it an exciting development for businesses across various sectors.
Perfectly suited for a diverse array of environments—from retail shops and corporate offices to hotel lobbies, restaurants, bars, and even school hallways—the Philips Signage 2000 Series is available in multiple screen sizes, including 43”, 50”, 55”, and 65”. This flexibility allows businesses to choose the right fit for their specific needs.
Whether mounted in portrait or landscape orientation, each display is designed to make a strong visual impact. With an impressive 4K UHD resolution and a brightness rating of 400 nits, these screens are crafted with a sleek, uniform bezel that enhances their aesthetic appeal for top-quality presentations.
Andrea Barbuti, who leads Global Product Management EMEA at PPDS, shared her insights: "At PPDS, we prioritize inclusivity and strive to deliver solutions that cater to a wide audience rather than just a select few. The Philips Signage 2000 Series simplifies signage by stripping away unnecessary complexities, providing essential features that allow for straightforward integrations without the extra frills found in our higher-end models."
This new series complements the existing Philips Signage 5000 Series and the Philips Stretch 3150 Series, both of which were showcased at ISE 2026. The Philips Signage 2000 Series is part of the increasingly popular family of professional Android SoC displays from Philips, now powered by Android 14. This version offers robust connectivity options and built-in security features, ensuring smooth integration and superior performance.
Specifically tailored to address the distinct requirements of various customer environments, the Philips Signage 2000 Series is optimized for native Android applications. This capability allows users to directly install web apps and software onto the display itself, eliminating the need for external media players and streamlining the user experience.
Additionally, managing and monitoring the Philips Signage 2000 Series can be done remotely through the enhanced Philips Wave platform. This innovative cloud-based solution empowers AV/IT managers with complete control, simplifying installation procedures, monitoring display performance, upgrading firmware, managing content playlists, and establishing power schedules.
One of the standout features of the Philips Signage 2000 Series is PPDS’ unique FailOver technology. This ensures that screens remain operational and never go dark, automatically switching to backup content in the unlikely event of a media player malfunction.
Furthermore, the Philips Signage 2000 Series provides the option to incorporate WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities via the optional CRD22 module. It also includes PPDS’ comprehensive wireless content sharing solution, Philips ScreenShare, enhancing its functionality.
Barbuti further emphasized, "The Philips Signage 2000 Series represents a fantastic opportunity for businesses, whether they are looking to upgrade older displays or explore digital signage technology for the first time. This offering enables them to enjoy the numerous benefits of digital signage, all from a trusted global provider, at a price point that fits their budget. At ISE 2026, we have truly redefined what basic digital signage displays can offer."
